Last year it was the Sixties with the Swinging Blue Jeans, this year, on Saturday 27 June Mantonfest dives headlong into the Seventies with bill toppers T.Rextasy, the only official tribute band recognised by the Marc Bolan estate.
T.Rextasy have played Wembley Arena, Hyde Park, and all over the world including major venues in Tokyo and Sydney, but this year they’re about to top it all in Marlborough with a headlining appearance at Mantonfest.
Now in its fifth year Mantonfest has become established in the calendar, a friendly family affair catering for all tastes, with major international acts such as T.Rextasy rubbing shoulders with great and talented local artists.
The Mantonfest Accoustic Stage at the Outside Chance will be the curtainraiser on the Friday night – 26 June, kicking off at 7pm with Mule headlining, supported by rising star Eddie Witcomb, The Lost and Found, The Yuke D’ukes and several other acts.
Leading up to T.Rextasy, Saturday’s main stage acts kick off with Jenny Bracey at 12.30, and the line-up features regulars Skedaddle, Straight Six, Onyx, Empty gestures and Josie and the Outlaw. New to Mantonfest this year will be The Banned, Barrelhouse, and Poplar Jake and the Electric Delta.
A range of food and drink outlets will be available, Mario the ‘singing ice cream man’ to keep everyone cool and chilled, along with Natural Flames pizza oven, Hog Roast, Gourmet Burgers, Italian Connection Coffee and a licenced bar.
