Pupils at Kennet Valley School have been able to make the most of the glorious weather by enjoying a fortnightly open air Collective Worship bubble session led by Rector, Rev. Maria Shepherdson
The sessions have been held in the playground and are in addition to daily Collective Worship sessions held in class bubbles.
The focus this term has been on the value of Curiosity, and Rev Maria has been talking to the pupils about Creation. This week’s session commenced with a Year 4 pupil helping to lead ‘The Peace’.
Emma Russell, Head Teacher, commented, “It is absolutely fantastic that our Rector, Maria, is able to lead these small outside Collective Worship bubble sessions. Being a Church of England school, Christian values are at the core of everything we do, and we work very hard to actively promote these values and the Collective Worship sessions help to keep our school community fused.”
The Collective Worship sessions will continue to be held outside whenever weather permits.
