More than twenty residents in Great Bedwyn have decorated their windows for Christmas with a Christmas carol theme. Passers-by can admire and try to guess the Christmas carol that is being depicted.
On Thursday December 3, Class 4 from Great Bedwyn Primary School took up the challenge. Accompanied by their teacher, Kathryn Bengtsson, the children followed the trail, spreading Christmas cheer to residents along the way.
Kathryn Bengtsson said, “Class 4 pupils tried to raise spirits in their community by embarking on a Guess the Christmas Carol trail. They maintained social distancing in their class bubble and saw many residents along the route.
To the children’s delight 20 plus villagers had decorated their windows to embrace Christmas and bring our village community together whilst isolating due to Covid.
The children had to guess the Christmas Carol in the windows which included ‘Little Donkey’, ‘Silent Night’, ‘Hark the Herald Angels sing’, ‘Ding Dong merrily on High’, ‘We three Kings’ and ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’. It was a very special trail in these strange times!”
Here are some photos of the decorated windows. Can you guess the carol from the window display ?
