It’s an exciting start to the new school year at Easton Royal Academy. The school has welcomed 14 children to the reception class. Principal, Beck Barber-Stubbs told Marlborough.news, “It’s our largest cohort yet – we are a village school and so 14 children is a big cohort for us and really exciting.
This term the children can look forward to learning through play in the new Early Years Foundation Stage area. They will be learning about materials and their uses by helping the three little pigs with their building issues. They will also be planting and growing their own flowers in the new Science garden.
There will be visits to the woods as part of Easton Royal’s weekly forest school where they will be cooking marshmallows and other food over an open fire. They will be guided how to use tools to construct dens and jewellery from natural materials.
We are currently waiting to see if anyone will spot our resident barn owl! It is so great to have these new children on our team.”
