Deadlight Dance are a Marlborough area band, starting out years ago in St John’s, and ‘…Beyond Reverence‘ is a locally recorded and mixed album having been created at Nick Beere’s renowned Mooncalf studio in Chiseldon.
They recently played a reunion gig in Aldbourne, where Tim Emery and Nick Fletcher were joined by original members (from the St John’s days) Mike Dymond and Greg Moore.
But the new album is a big move by Tim and Nick, they are getting good radio coverage (West Wilts radio) and they can be seen on (Saturday) 23 September in Bath at ‘Chapter 22’ where they will be supporting 80’s Goth legends ‘Ghost Dance’.
How did the new album come about? Tim explains: “The original plan was only ever to go to Mooncalf Studio for an EP but we did four songs in the first day and it quickly grew into an album project. Nick (Beere)’s great to work with, he manages to play you back the sound you had in your head!” explained Tim.
Nick added: “My history of recording with Nick (Beere) goes back 30+ years and Tim’s done multiple projects with him over a long period too so he was the obvious choice. It had to be be Wiltshire as we like acknowledging our roots”.
