Crowds revel in sunshine and music at sell-out MantonFest - "a big and perfect party"

The crowds flocked to to the Manton Grange water meadow yesterday (Saturday 29 June) for a sold out MantonFest. Manton’s natural amphitheatre hosted the large number who came to soak up the sun, music and a great relaxed atmosphere for the ninth annual event, this year headlined by Queen’s top tribute band – Mercury, favourites Barrelhouse, T.Rextasy (back by popular demand after five years), The Troggs and many more.

A great day – “a big and perfect party” according to organiser Roger Grant,raising funds for local causes including The Manton Village Hall Appeal and Jubilee Centre in Marlborough. But Roger added that he would like to apologise to the many who arrived on Saturday afternoon hoping to get in at the gate but were turned way.
