Hope and Homes for Children Vale of Pewsey Support Group are organising a three hour walk in Pewsey Vale in support of the charity’s Ukraine appeal on Saturday April 9 at 9.45 am. The walk will start in the car park behind the Pewsey Co-Op near the Tennis Club (SN9 5AF) minimum donation £5, well behaved dogs welcome.
Members of the support Group told Marlborough.news, “Russia’s invasion of Ukraine represents a child protection emergency across Ukraine, Moldova and Romania, countries in which Hope and Homes has worked for years. The charity is uniquely placed to ensure their expert resources, skills and experience are best used to provide practical, life-saving support.
The vulnerability of the 100,000 children who remain warehoused in Ukraine’s orphanage system increases by the day. Large numbers are being abandoned to face the dangers of war alone. In Moldova and Romania the charity is responding to the rapid influx of refugees and as the crisis unfolds, their plans will constantly adapt in the best interests of the children.
All proceeds from this walk will help the crucial urgent efforts of our charity in Ukraine. If you are unable to join us all contributions would be very welcome at Hope and Homes for Children, Lloyds Bank Sort Code 30-92-63 Account Number 02175267
