Coffi Lab, Marlborough’s new destination for coffee, tea, smoothies, breakfast baps, salads pastries and more, opens tomorrow, Saturday August 21, at 10 am in the iconic old HSBC bank building at 141 High Street. All sales on the opening day will be donated to Guide Dogs for the Blind.
CEO and Coffi Lab Founder, James Shapland, told Marlborough.news, “Coffi Lab is really excited to be opening in Marlborough – a lovely, neighbourly town with a wonderfully friendly and welcoming community. We believe the town will provide the ideal home for our new Coffi Lab.
We love the architecture of the building with its high ceilings and space. We have tried to keep the aesthetics of the bank roots of the building.
We are dog friendly and see dogs as members of the family who we welcome with open arms. I’ve grown up with Labradors and they’ve always been a support. We’re on a social mission to raise awareness of Guide Dogs for the Blind. We’re aiming to raise £5000 from the store to sponsor a guide dog called Ivor. Ivor will be named after the grandfather of our first Coffi Lab employee who lost his sight.
We’re interested in emotional well-being and hope Coffi Lab Marlborough will become a warm friendly hub for people to get together and have a chat. We really believe in face to face communication and interaction.”
Coffi Lab’s coffee comes from El Salvador and the company has a direct relationship with the farmer, Ricardo. Marlborough.news can vouch for its flavour!
As well as the spacious interior, Coffi Lab has a courtyard garden. Coffi Lab’s first shop was in Monmouth and another will be opening in Abergavenny very soon.
Coffi Lab will be open every day. Weekday opening hours are 7.30 am to 6 pm. Saturdays – 8 am to 6pm and Sundays – 9 am to 6pm. For more information visit the website here or Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Linkedin.
