A week this Saturday it’s ‘Marlborough Sports Festival Saturday‘ at the Recreation Ground, just off the Salisbury Road.
It’s free, all you have to do is register so that a place can be secured. Click here to register. Funded by the Marlborough Area Board and supported by Marlborough’s schools , Council and the Wiltshire Council, it’s a day for Marlborough’s youngsters to try sports that they would normally never ever have a chance to have a go at. And who knows?
The 4-person climbing wall will be there for young people between the ages of ages of ten and nineteen to try.
Along with the wall there will be a further twelve sports to have a go at, they are:
The Wall will be a four-person climbing wall at 7.3m high. Routes to cater for ALL abilities so you will be safe, and most importantly be able to scale a big wall all the way up.

Organised by Marlborough Sports Forum with lots of help from Wiltshire & Swindon Sport (WASP), it’s a day to try new activities. The Sports Forum’s aim – and role – is to support and fund sport in the town, which also means providing financial support when necessary.
