In the absence of live performances the Marlborough Players have gone digital and present the second instalment of the ‘Suitable Girl’ audio play – ‘Christmas Greetings’.
There were over 1000 visitors to the site since the original play was posted, with some very positive feedback. This encouraged the group to produce a second episode which can be found here.
Episode 2, is again a 15 minute comedy set in the near future where Clive Martin has met Charlotte Kemp through the machinations of his artificial intelligent virtual assistant Alicia. Clive has started a relationship with Charlotte but it’s not going well. Alicia tries to help them get back on track.
It is a Christmas themed episode so just right for relaxing with a mince pie as we wait for the easing of the Covid restrictions for the festive period.
Episode 1 is still available here and there are plans for a further episode in, what is now intended to be a trilogy.
Director Tony Michael said, “This production was more difficult to produce as we couldn’t meet to record the play so it was all done via Zoom.”
