Bango and Court Jester visit Prospect Hospice to mark Barbury International Horse Trials’ support

Four very special guests paid a visit to Prospect Hospice on Thursday afternoon (June 10.)  Marlborough eventing duo Jonelle and Tim Price brought their advanced horses Court Jester and Bango to promote a special lunch in aid of Prospect Hospice on Saturday, July 11 at the St James’s Place Wealth Management Barbury International Horse Trials.
 
This year the Barbury International Horse Trials has pledged its support to Prospect Hospice and its care for local people.  The lunch will take place in the exclusive Barbury Club marquee to help raise funds for the charity and its care for people in Wiltshire.
 
The Barbury International horse trials,which takes place from 9-12 July in a spectacular setting on the Marlborough Downs, will feature competitions with over 1000 horse and rider combinations.  Prospect Hospice supports a community of 300,000 people in Marlborough, Swindon and the surrounding areas.
 
Jonelle and Tim are based at stables near Mildenhall just outside Marlborough. They are currently ranked fifth and ninth respectively in the international event rider rankings.  They both plan to compete at Barbury in July:  “Needless to say Barbury Horse Trials is one of our favourite events.  Not only is it on our doorstep, it provides four days of very competitive eventing and is a premier sporting event for Marlborough and Wiltshire.”

Next week in Germany Tim Price, who won Luhmuehlen’s four star event last year, will be there again – this time riding Bango as he seeks to retain his title.  He is entering Court Jester in the three star event.  Jonelle is entered with Faerie Dianimo (4 star) and Cloud Dancer (3 star.)

Tickets for the Prospect Hospice lunch at Barbury (Saturday, July 11) cost £50 per person and can be booked at Prospect’s website.  The lunch includes entry to the horse trials, VIP parking, a two course buffet lunch and half a bottle of wine per person.
