The hospital wants to be able to offer intra-operative radiotherapy for breast cancer. This is a pioneering treatment that is new to Britain and is not available in the south-west.
The treatment would make a big difference to about 150 women a year in the GWH catchment area.

The hospital needs to raise £75,000 to fund this treatment.
Brighter Futures wants as many people as possible to take part in the sky-dive – all jumping on the same day: Saturday, August 9 at the Swindon Jump Centre. Each sky-diver will be asked to raise a minimum of £360 in sponsorship.
Brighter Futures supports the Great Western Hospital and community healthcare throughout Wiltshire, helping to fund new equipment and treatments and services which are not funded through the NHS budget.
For further details about the sky-diving adventure email fundraising@gwh.nhs.uk or phone 01793 605631.
