Wiltshire Life – the glossy county magazine – has given Marlborough’s Emily Clarke the award for Young Achiever of the Year. And in the same category Ellen Frances Dow, also of Marlborough, took third place.
Crofton Beam Engines came third in the Tourism Business of the Year section – behind Stonehenge and Swindon’s STEAM museum.
Marlborough International Jazz Festival came second to the Ageas Salisbury International Arts Festival as the Wiltshire Event of the Year.
And St John’s Academy’s retiring head teacher, Dr Patrick Hazlewood, came second in the Lifetime Achievement Award – behind Mark & Caroline Cook of the Hope & Homes for Children charity.
