If you’ve ever asked yourself questions about your great-great-grandmother – wondering what she did for a living or who her parents were, or if you’ve watched ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ and wondered about your own family tree, then a family history course can help you find the answers.
St John’s Academy Marlborough can now give you the chance to find out about your own family’s history.
Our ten week course starting on Tuesday evening (April 16) is aimed at beginners. During the course you can explore the key resources so you can start building your own family tree. You will discover various records and documents that contain information about your ancestors including Birth, Marriage & Death Certificates, Census Records and Parish Records.
The course tutor, Michelle Smith has been researching family history for over twenty-five years and has been successful in assisting many people trace their roots. She knows where to find the right records, people and information to help piece together the history of a family. She has a passion for family histories and can help you trace yours.
