Over £1,000 was raised from the audience, which goes directly to the charities. This was made possible by generous support from local businesses.
Marlborough Community Choir leader Vanessa Lafaye was delighted with the concert: “The Merriman Partnership was our main sponsor, but we also had a generous contribution from Tesco towards the refreshments.”
The raffle made lots of money thanks to the prizes donated by The Cat’s Whiskers, Cath Kidston, the White Horse Bookshop, Charlotte Quest, Valentiner Designs, Quality Stationers, Primrose Lane Florists and Susie Watson Designs.
Vanessa Lafaye and the choirs are very grateful for this local support: “Thanks to the local community, we’ve come a little closer to the total needed to build a much-needed radiotherapy centre for this area.”
The next chance to hear Marlborough Community Choir and Mother’s Jam will be at the Marlborough Jazz Festival in July.
