The route for the Aldbourne beating of the Parish bounds takes in part of the Ridgeway at Woodsend.
On Monday (May 6) keen-eyed walkers taking part in the ceremonial ‘beating the bounds’ were surprised to see dotted amongst the gentian and lady’s bedstraw on this ancient trackway, clusters of very small European Union flags. [Click on photos below to enlarge them]
