Murder does bring its rewards – at least from the Murder Mystery lunch event staged by Bryan Hallet’s Murder to Measure Company for Marlborough’s Merchant House at the Marlborough College summer school.
It raised £2,400 for the Merchant’s House Appeal, to pay for the restoration of the iconic building in Marlborough High Street.
Almost 100 guests enjoyed the lunch during which they watched a performance of A Fete worse than Death and were asked to identify the murderer if they could.
“Many people came up and told me how much they enjoyed the Murder Mystery lunch, which they thought had been great fun,” said Alison Galvin-Wright, who organised it all.
