In case it is not yet in your diary, the date for Marlborough’s Christmas lights switch-on is Friday, November 20 – and the switch-on time is 7.00pm with the fun beginning at 5.00pm.
Wiltshire Council have agreed to free parking in the town that day. The Town Mayor told the Area Board that all the market stalls have been booked and there’s even a waiting list.
Entertainment will be provided by the Phoenix Band, Marlborough Academy of Dance, the Marlborough Choir and the St John’s Academy Brass Band. And, of course, Father Christmas will be in attendance.
If you are an early Christmas shopper, there’s another day with free parking in Marlborough on Saturday, November 7.
