Convicted murderer Craig Black is back in custody after his escape from Leyhill open prison.
Gloucestershire police arrested him on Wednesday (July 17) after they had made a public appeal for help in locating him, but told the public not to approach Black.
Craig Black, 39, was given a life sentence in 1995 for the murder in Marlborough of Perry Shiels, a radio operator on the Royal Yacht Britannia.
The murder took place in Figgins Lane, Marlborough, after Black had spent the night drinking in the town. Mr Shiels was attacked, knocked down and hit his head against a wall.
Mr Shiels lived in Birmingham and was 22 years-old at the time of his murder.
Black had been transferred to Leyhill open prison earlier this month.
