Attilio Cristina chose the Prospect Hospice’s outreach centre at Savernake Hospital as his nominated charity for his year as Marlborough Golf Club’s Seniors Captain.
At the end of his time as captain he presented a cheque for £2,540 to Mike Kennedy – the Hospice’s community and events fundraiser for the Marlborough area.
Though known at the club as a committed golfer, Attilio is better known to longer-standing Marlborough residents as the proprietor of Attilio’s Restaurant in the High Street.
Attilio explained why he had chosen the Prospect Hospice as his charity during his ‘great year’ as Seniors captain: “During my year as captain I wanted to make sure I supported a charity I strongly believed in.”
“That’s why I chose the Prospect Hospice at Savernake Hospital. It’s good to know the money will be going to a very worthwhile cause.”
