The Marlborough Brandt Group will be marking the tenth anniversary of its annual quiz night with…another of its famous charity quizzes.
On Wednesday, April 27 the atrium of St John’s Academy will be the scene for this year’s evening of brainpower – and head scratching. It starts at 7.00pm with teams of between four and six people competing for the MBG Trophy.
Last year’s quiz was won by a team from MBG’s Wiltshire Global Education Centre – and there is nothing in the rules to say they cannot win again this year.
Proceeds will go to MBG development projects for the villagers of Gunjur in The Gambia – including the school project that will be undertaken by the team of twelve St John’s students who are spending four weeks there in July.
The cost of entry is £10 per player, which includes a cheese and paté supper. There is a bar and plenty of parking. Teams can register online or by calling 01672 861116.
And if you simply cannot remember the names of Shakespeare’s daughters, there is plenty of space outside where you can go and vent your fury.
