Through a network of volunteer drivers Marlborough and District LINK provides the transport to take the elderly and those unable to access public transport to vital medical and other appointments.
The role that LINK plays has never been clearer than during the recent Vaccination programme, ensuring transport to vaccination centres so that those otherwise unable to get there under their own steam can get the important vaccine jab.
What does the co-ordinator do, and where can they work from?
They will organise the volunteer drivers with the need of the client. Co-ordinators take appointment requests during working hours and link them with volunteer drivers. This role can be done from anywhere with an internet connection.
LINK need someone willing to commit either (a) to one day a week, or (b) to job-share with another co-ordinator, normally one day every other week, alternatively half a day per week.
