On Saturday May 22 Marlborough Tennis will open its six courts to anyone who wants to give tennis a go.
“Our Open Days have been very popular in the past,” said Chair, Andrew Payne. “This year with pandemic restrictions starting to ease and people wanting exercise and fun, we think our Open Day on May 22 will be even more popular. It is a great opportunity to play tennis for the first time, introduce tennis to your kids or indeed to dust off your old racket and come back to a sport you may have played years ago!”
Marlborough Tennis has something for everyone next Saturday. From Mini Tennis for 4 – 11 year olds, to Family Tennis if you fancy a hit with your children, and Tennis Express which combines coaching with the opportunity to play some points, all ages and all abilities are covered. We will also be launching a new StepUp programme this month for families who have teenagers who would benefit from free coaching, kindly supported by Marlborough Area Board.”
“Our Open Day Cardio sessions which combine tennis with group fitness exercises – set to music, are always full,” said Andrew. “And if all you want to do is play some tennis, we have Free Play and Mix-In Doubles as well. If you don’t have a racket, don’t worry, we can provide that too.”
The Open Day starts at 10am and runs until 2pm. With places limited it is important to book ahead by visiting the Marlborough Tennis web site here to register your details.
