It is reported that interest has already been registered from clients in America, the Gulf States and China in the sale of the Sangster family’s Manton estate. The estate is formally on the market.
The sale is being handled by Strutt and Parker’s Estate and Farm Agency department. Their website calls Manton “A quintessential country estate hidden high on the downs above the picturesque town of Marlborough” and the sale details are laid out under the headline “One of England’s Finest Estates’.
The sale is also in the hands of Adkin, the Wantage based agents.
The price is confirmed as £26,000,000 – although the Strutt and Parker website makes it clear that they expect offers “in excess of £26,000,000”.
The area of the estate is given as “about 2,155 acres.” And the sale is being offered “as a whole or in up to seven lots.”
