This year’s planned High Street Christmas Market, scheduled for Friday 20 November has been cancelled.
Described by the Town Council as an ‘Inevitable but disappointing’ decision, it was made now rather than later as national rules and restrictions are changing almost daily, and it was felt that if the decision was held off for any longer significant and unnecessary inconvenience would be caused to traders and stall holders, as well as potential entertainers without all of whom the event wouldn’t work.
In their announcement the Town Council stated that they hoped that next year, 2021, would be ‘back to normal’
