A cleaner who is accused of burgling two houses and stealing jewellery is to face trial by judge and jury.
Danny Avis is said to have stolen from homes in Burbage and East Grafton on Thursday August 31 last year.
The 25-year-old, of The Lees, Mildenhall, pleaded not guilty to two counts of burglary when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court.
He also denied three charges of theft which are alternatives and relate to the same allegations.
Avis is said to have stolen a gold watch and diamond ring belonging to a woman and a man’s gold watch at the house in East Grafton.
And he is also accused of taking another woman’s diamond ring from the property on High Street, Burbage.
Judge Jason Taylor QC adjourned the case Monday October 8 and released Avis on unconditional bail until then.
