Since Easter, the preschool at Burbage has extended its hours and it is now open 9.00am to 3.30pm five days a week. Previously their daily hours were shorter and two days a week they did not run an afternoon session.
The preschool’s new manager, Amanda Brindley, has a deputy and two assistants and they currently have 18 children registered with them. They are open during school term time for children from two years to school age.
Burbage Pre-school was first established in 1973 and in 2003 it moved into a new building on Burbage Primary School’s grounds – but they are not part of the school organisation. They are a registered and independent charity managed by a dedicated committee.
The preschool is registered with Wiltshire Council and are registered members of the Pre-School Learning Alliance. They are also registered with and inspected by Ofsted.
They are holding an Open Day on Saturday, 6 June from 12.30pm to 4.00pm for parents to bring along children, see the facilities and activities, and to meet staff.
