Three Covid booster clinics will be running in Marlborough Leisure Centre next week and those who have booked a booster online for January are encouraged to cancel and rebook for Marlborough through the National Booking Service here.
The Kennet and Avon Medical Partnership (KAMP) released the following statement today Thursday Dec 23:
The Kennet and Avon Medical Partnership is pleased and proud to be able to join the national effort to speed up the roll-out of the Covid booster programme. Our staff and volunteers will be running clinics at the Marlborough Leisure Centre on the three Christmas and New Year bank holidays:
Monday 27th December
Tuesday 28th December
Monday 3rd January
These clinics are bookable through the National Booking Service here or by calling 119. Please do not ring the surgery to book your booster, we cannot book these appointments and we need to keep the phonelines free for those needing medical help over this busy period.
The KAMP clinics are open to anyone who is due their booster and is willing to travel to the wonderful town of Marlborough, not just KAMP patients. KAMP staff are hoping to deliver boosters to 3500 people over the three bank holidays.
All three clinics are manned by KAMP staff and volunteers who without hesitation have given up their bank holidays to help get local people boosted.
Everyone over the age of 18 who had their second vaccine over three months ago is encouraged to get their booster as soon as possible. For example, if you have a booster booked in a week or two and you can get an appointment sooner, please do so.
KAMP staff are very experienced at running Covid vaccination clinics, we vaccinated over 14000 people in 16 clinics in the first 6 months of this year.
