The Care Quality Commission has given the Aldbourne Nursing Home a ‘requires improvement’ rating following an unannounced inspection last month.
The nursing home is privately owned and provides accommodation, nursing and personal care for up to 40 people. It also provides respite care to people and families needing a break.
The inspector gave the nursing home a ‘good’ ranking as being ‘safe’ and ‘caring’. But the inspector found it requires improvement to make it properly ‘effective’, ‘responsive’ and to be ‘well-led’. A main criticism was that records of care were not being fully and accurately kept.
However, the report records a number of very positive responses from those using the home.
