The emergency services were called to a fire at the Oka furniture store in Froxfield, Berkshire on Thursday evening (August 21). The fire is being handled by Wiltshire Fire and Rescue.
The blaze was described by the fire service as “a large fire”. By 10.00pm the operation was “scaling back” – but there were still eight appliances there, including special vehicles and a control unit.
The fire was adjacent to the A4 and the A4 was closed eastwards from the Salisbury Road-London Road mini-roundabouts in Marlborough. As at 10.00pm it was clear the A4 would be closed for a few more hours.
