“Come and help make the town even more beautiful” was the call from Anne Crawley, chair of the ‘Marlborough in Bloom’ committee. “Everyone is welcome, just come and help” she added.
The judges are due to descend on Marlborough on Tuesday 14 July so the first of two clear-up days takes place on Monday of next week (6 July), when everyone is welcomed to help make the town look its best for the judges.
There will be a second day a week later, on Monday 13 July, as a last minute tidy-up before the following morning’s visit by the ‘Britain in Bloom team of judges.
Volunteers are asked to meet in Priory Gardens at 10am on both days to start the clear-ups.
“The town is already looking wonderful, so many people and businesses have worked very hard creating the magnificent floral displays right across the town and we want to make Marlborough look as beautiful as it can be for judges, visitors, and all of who live here and love the town” said Anne.
