Sign of the times: with no Sure Start centre where will future mothers & their children go?

I am delighted to see that Marlborough Town Council have refurbished the “Borough of Marlborough” sign with the help of art students from St. John’s.
 
It is a pity that the town councillors didn’t oppose the closure of the Sure Start Children’s Centre with the same passion. A valuable resource for parents and children in the town is being lost forever with no protest from our “elected” representatives.
 
Never mind, even if the art students at St John’s have nowhere to take their kids when they grow up, the town sign will still be there.
