With reference to Dr Maurice’s letter, it is somewhat ironic that councils are cutting funding to the Jubilee Centre but spending on the Queen’s jubilee celebrations.
Mis-placed priorities, I would suggest. I am sure if someone asked Her Majesty that she would give them a very straight reply on what they should be spending their money on!
As for the Gazette, sadly this is a common story across the entire range of Gannet’s local papers.
Very much a fading empire it would seem.
