There are two post offices closer to Marlborough which weren’t mentioned in the recent story regarding Marlborough’s Post Office. One is in Chiseldon, at the Spar shop in Mays Lane, and the other in Aldbourne, at the deli/cafe on the corner of Marlborough Road and the main B4192.
I have used this one for many years and always find them extremely efficient and helpful. They cater for everything, including banking. These small rural sub-post offices are vital in the community – use them or lose them!
