Applications are invited for the post of Art Technician to join this busy, thriving Department.
The Art technician’s main responsibility is to provide support to teachers in the Art Department and to liaise with the other technicians in order to ensure the efficient running of the Art School’s day-to-day programme of varied co-curricular and timetabled lessons. The successful candidate need not hold an Art degree though an interest in Art and in practical skills is important, they may have little or no previous experience (in which case full training and support will be offered), or could have previous relevant experience. Key qualities expected will be the ability to work well in a team, to be flexible and to have the willingness to make a positive contribution to the work of the Department regardless of the task at hand.
Ability and enthusiasm for working alongside children is of paramount importance to this role as is the ability to work independently and, at times, to work under pressure.
Working hours will be 38 hours per week, worked over six days and some Sundays. This is a term-time position with some working at the start and end of school holidays.
