Part Time Caretaker
Ramsbury Primary School, near Marlborough is looking for a part-time caretaker to work 10-15 hours per week.
We are looking for someone who is a hands-on, proactive person who has excellent maintenance / DIY skills, with a thorough knowledge of health and safety procedures and practices.
The role involves carrying out general maintenance, completing compliance checks, assisting school staff with jobs and ensuring the school buildings are safe and secure. There is also a part-grounds role, which involves the routine tidying of school grounds, as well as directing our contracted grounds maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a caretaking/property maintenance environment, but full training will be provided.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Building and premises maintenance skills or assured DIY skills
- Work with security/alarms systems
- Awareness of relevant industry health and safety policies
Required Personal Qualities:
- Friendly and approachable
- Excellent organisation skills
- Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently

Start date: As soon as possible
Salary: Wiltshire Council Grade E- £22,777 (Full Time Equivalent)
Contract: Permanent and part-time (term time only; 39 weeks a year, 44.85 total paid weeks)
