
Applications are invited for Casual Lifeguards to work in the College’s state of the art, 25-metre, indoor swimming pool, which has eight lanes and a hydraulic bottom (which alters the depth from 0.8 to 3 metres) making it equally ideal for squad training, water polo, sub aqua, canoeing or recreational swimming. The swimming pool is used by the College community, Marlborough College Health Club and by outside swim clubs.
The pool is generally open 0645-2200hrs Monday to Friday, and 0645-1300hrs during weekends, throughout the year. You will be required to support the main team who work on a rota system between these hours and you will work by arrangement, on a casual 0hrs basis. As such there is a requirement to be flexible with working hours.
A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is a requirement for this position. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential in order to liaise and work, within a small team, and with people at all levels.
