It was described by event compere Nigel Kerton as ‘the worst-kept secret in Marlborough,” but we know many readers were disappointed to miss Scouting For Girls performing at Marlborough’s Christmas lights switch-on on Friday evening.
We – along with other media outlets – were sworn to secrecy, as the police were worried about crowds getting too big if the band’s appearance was announced beforehand.
So we captured the event on video. It’s not as polished as the version the band will release on or around December 1, but it should be enough to rekindle happy memories of a chilly Friday night, or enjoy Christmas in the Air (Tonight) if you’ve not heard it before.
