Young singing sensation Rachel Allder has been awarded a new ‘Project’ qualification after recording a charity single with young residents of a local care home.
The 15-year-old was awarded an A grade Level 2 Project qualification – the equivalent of half a GCSE Grade – from examination board Edexcel.
The new examination rewards pupils who complete coursework based on a subject that interests them.
Rachel recorded a track with 25 young adults from Greathouse Cheshire Home near Chippenham, who all have physical or learning disabilities.
Together they wrote lyrics and music, and recorded a song – called Love Is – which will be sold to raise money for Greathouse.
