After Glastonbury it’s Manton’s turn – MantonFest is here again this coming Saturday (July 5) at the Manton Grange Watermeadow, just off Preshute Lane, Manton.
Headlining will be the 60’s chart toppers The Swinging Blue Jeans, supported by local favourites Skedaddle, Eddie Witcomb, Mike Booth and Marcella, Straight Six and many others.
“It’s the fifth MantonFest” proclaimed organiser Roger Grant. “Every year just gets bigger and better” …. “The Swinging Blue Jeans, legends of the sixties with a string of hits such as the timeless ‘Hippy Hippy Shake’ will be at the top of the bill, but we’ve got some extremely popular and well known local acts supporting and bringing in plenty of friends and fans”.
In aid of two charities – St John’s Ambulance and the Manton Village Hall Trust, MantonFest kicks off at mid-day and closes at 10:30, tickets are £10 in advance from either Sound Knowledge or The Outside Chance in Manton, or £15 on the day.
“A great relaxed fun day out for the whole family, with something for all ages” added Roger.
