Indie-rock band Spector will be making a visit to Marlborough’s Sound Knowledge record shop to promote the release of their second album.
The four-piece’s live appearance at Azuza, which will be followed by a record signing next door at Sound Knowledge, takes place on Sunday, August 23 – just two days after the release of Moth Boys.
And the intimate gig will be something of a warm-up for a much bigger appearance – in front of huge crowds at the Reading and Leeds festivals the following weekend.
Formed in 2011, Spector have been dubbed ‘East London’s answer to The Strokes’ and ‘Dalston’s Kaiser Chiefs’.
Their debut album, Enjoy It While It Lasts, reached number 12 in the chars in 2012 – the year they last played in Marlborough – while the first single from their new album, All The Sad Young Men, was was premiered as Zane Lowe’s Hottest Record In The World on Radio 1.
