Wilton Windmill call for volunteers to help witrh pre-season maintenance

The Pre-season Maintenance day is planned for Sunday 10th March starting at 10.00.

Wilton Windmill opens for the summer season at Easter and this day gives a chance to clean-up ready for visitors and get set for milling.

What is there to be done? Oil the gear teeth and external doors, lime-wash the internal walls, reassemble the millstones and tidy/clean all floors and windows.

No special skills required but do come in overalls or old clothes. Works expected to finish at about 12.30 followed by drinks and light refreshments in the Shepherd’s Hut.
