| Nicola is a historian and historical novelist, and works for the National Trust at Ashdown House in Oxfordshire – where her previous book was set. She has run courses and workshops on creative writing, acts as a history consultant for television and radio, and was Wiltshire Libraries Writer in Residence in 2008. |
