The Marlborough Players present ‘Blithe Spirit’
by Noel Coward
Marlborough Town Hall
6th to 8th June 2024 7.30pm
7 June 2024 @ 7:30 pm
Suspense, style and supernatural manifestations are at the forefront of Noel Coward¹s classic farce ‘Blithe Spirit’. Successful novelist Charles Condomine’s desire to learn more about the occult for a novel he is writing backfires when eccentric medium, Madame Arcati, inadvertently summons back Charles’s temperamental and mischievous first wife, Elvira, who has been dead for several years. Only Charles can see or hear Elvira, who makes increasingly desperate efforts to disrupt Charles’s current marriage to the dominating Ruth in order to reclaim her husband forever!
First staged in 1941, ‘Blithe Spirit’ continues to delight theatre-goers with its witty yet thought provoking dialogue and thoroughly enjoyable chaos!
With a cast of seven and directed by Alison Andre ‘Blithe Spirit’ will play at Marlborough Town Hall from 6th to 8th June with performances starting at 7:30pm.
