‘Swine of Passion’ – Wilton Windmill’s annual murder mystery and hog roast
24 June @ 7:00 pm
On Saturday 24 June Smoke & Mirrors are returning to the Windmill this year for the ninth Murder Mystery and hogroast. The event is a fundraiser for the Windmill, it’s always popular, and tickets are on sale now!
This year’s plot is “Swine of Passion”
For several decades, the Peter Irving Gifford School has been going nowhere fast. Now, under inspirational new leadership, this once shameful establishment is to become the Gloucester Old Spot Academy for Girls. All that’s needed is the small matter of thirty million pounds. As luck would have it, eccentric local pig-breeder Sir Hamish St. John Hattersley has come up with the last of the cash. As luck wouldn’t have it, Sir Hamish’s generosity is about to prove spectacularly misplaced…
The murder mystery will take place throughout the evening with a mix of prepared scenes and opportunities for you to interrogate the actors about who’s been up to what. They’ll be in character all evening, mixing with the audience. At the end there will be a formal interrogation, followed by confessions and prize-giving.
The organisers would love you to come in costume. It’s optional, but it really adds to the atmosphere so break out your best St Trinian’s gear (staff, pupils, caretakers, dinner ladies are all welcome!) and join in the fun!
Tickets include an outstanding gourmet hog-roast buffet (with vegetarian option); and there’ll be a cash bar available throughout the evening. And of course there will be prizes of champagne and chocolates.
Large groups are most definitely welcome, and we’re pleased to offer one free ticket for every group of ten booked.
