Sound Knowledge present – Later Youth with Jo Dudderidge
7 July @ 6:30 pm
Sound Knowledge say:
We’re delighted to announce that Later Youth will be joining us in the shop on Monday 7th July, playing live from 6.30pm to celebrate the release of debut album ‘Living History’.
The new project from Jo Dudderidge of Manchester indie-folk favourites, The Travelling Band, Later Youth emerged as a fresh songwriting outlet following some personal upheaval. ‘Living History’ is the culmination of what has been both a cathartic and a celebratory process, sonically centred on Dudderidge’s signature Wurlitzer electric piano and unmistakable voice, blending raw, heart-on-sleeve lyricism with a fresh, idiosyncratic style veering from krautrock to alt-country.
After a decade with The Travelling Band, Dudderidge has built a reputation as a sought-after producer, songwriter and session musician, working with an impressive roster of artists including recent SK guest Chloe Foy, Victoria Canal, Stephen Fretwell, Human Interest, and longtime collaborator Lissie, who features on the album.
Entry is FREE but please do let us know if you’d like to attend, or pre-order a copy of ‘Living History’ from us to guarantee your place.
