The speaker at our well attended annual Branch Open Day in March was textile artist Cherrilyn Tyler

whose talk was entitled Journey Cloths. 

Cherrilyn works on net and water soluble fabrics which she first started using many years ago

when she was asked to make Elizabethan ruffs for an exhibition.  
Cherrilyn showed us a wonderful selection of pieces inspired by watching

the changing seasons while walking her dog. 

She uses very diverse topics for her work, one was the Charge of the Light Brigade

and another was a rant about the election.
