“Lumps, bumps and an Ancient Woodland – the archaeology of Perivale Wood in Greater London” – A Marlborough History Society talk by Kim Wakeham

Located in a heavily built up and industrialised landscape, Perivale Wood, owned and managed by The Selbourne Society, is one of Britain’s oldest nature reserves which was established in 1905.
This presentation focuses on the archaeology and history of the wood, and the excavations which have taken place.

The Marlborough History Society supports local history projects and presents talks by respected speakers on the third Thursday of every month (with the exception of June, July, August and December) at 7:30 p.m. at St Peter’s Church. We also organise occasional outings.
