The Wind Quintet – “Ensemble Renard” – in the “Brilliant Young International Musicians in St Peter’s Church” series

Their interesting programme is as follows:-
- Oliver Knussen – Alleluya Nativitas Jacque Ibert – Trois piĂšces brĂšves Felix Mendelssohn arr. George Strivens – Selections from Lieder ohne Worte Op.19
- Maurice Ravel arr. Hans Abrahamsen – Tombeau de Couperin
After the interval they will play:
- Isabella Leonarda arr. Geoffrey King – Sonata Nona Carl Nielsen – Wind Quintet Valerie Coleman – Red Clay & Mississippi Delta

“Ensemble Renard was founded in 2018 by musicians and friends from the Royal Academy of Music and the Guildhall School. A wind quintet at its core,
Ensemble Renard puts on exciting and varied performances for audiences of all backgrounds. After less than six months of playing together, Ensemble Renard won the Royal Academy of Musicâs Nicholas Blake Prize for wind chamber music, and from there have gone on to give regular recitals and workshops across the country, to much acclaim”.
