Exploring wildlife at Bay Meadows – Free event

Wiltshire Wildlife Trust say: “We are putting on the final event of the project at Bay Meadows on Sunday August 12 so come down and join in with activities. We have teamed up with Wiltshire Ornithological Society who will be carrying out bird identification walks around the wider site. There will be bug hunting and sweep netting as well as other activities. Bring along a picnic and join us in the meadow for lunch or sit by the river and have a splash.”
How to get there: The site is currently only accessible from one entrance (north end of Tin Pit lane, what3words ///poets.fires.ritual, Grid ref. SU191697). From this point there is a slope which is not ideal for those struggling with walking followed by a walk along the river (on an uneven surface)to the Bay Meadows entrance. Note: access from the Byway is still not currently available.
